* What is a DENIER?
DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make stockings and tights.
The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or tight. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker it is, and the skin is less visible.
On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose, 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in the autumn-winter period.
Tights and pantyhose with a low DENIER number are normally used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used all year round, for example for ceremonies, as the thinness of the stockings makes them more elegant.
