* What is a DENIER?

DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or tights. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker it is and the less visible the skin.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and stockings, from 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in the autumn-winter period.
